Dear Visitors!
I’m welcoming You, fondly and respectfully as we say, to the webpage of Borsodszentgyörgy. People here always welcome their guests with so much care and hospitability. You’ll experience that if you visit our village not just online, but when you come in reality to the bottom of the Bükk Mountain. This little village of us has true scenic beauty, sometimes it glory in its untouched natural rarities. Although it’s organized, peaceful, and silent, it’s still a living place, and is not bothered by transit traffic.
I invite you to take a pleasant walk, getting out of your car; have a look at our Roman Catholic church, the Sacred Heart Chapel, the Arany János Primary School, and our Kindergarten. Visit our country house- managed by an elder lady- that shows the local-peasant culture and life. If you walk along the streets of Borsodszentgyörgy, you’ll see the well-cared houses, gardens, and yards reflecting the work of ambitious inhabitants.
Residents in our village have centuries’ knowledge of the agriculture and silviculture. They guard the heritage and the instinctive love for nature. The ground has never been gutted or poisoned, the air and water has never been polluted. There are dozens of crystal-clear sources, forests full of whistling and singing birds, suitable for relaxing hikes and tours. There are experienced hunters and wanderers, young and old as well, who are keen to present anyone the nude wonders of our environment.
If you are interested and curious, check our webpage, the pictures of our events, the heritage and present of our village. Visit Borsodszentgyörgy, and connect to our people and council on the social media as well.
We hope, when you come to Borsodszentgyörgy you’ll have a great and unforgettably joyful time of your life!
Until then I wish you nice browsing.
